Magnolia Bark Extract (SFE) | C02 Extraction

The bark of magnolia officinalis has been commonly used in traditional chinese medicine for the treatment of abdominal distension and pain, nausea. Magnolia bark extract has been used as a supplement of toothpaste, and also to inhibit plant pathogens. Extraction of magnolol and honokiol from magnolia officinalis using supercritical fluid extraction ,the results indicate that supercritical carbon dioxide selectively removed parthenolide, costunolide, and cyclocolorenone when compared to standard liquid dichloromethane extraction. HPLC traces show that the carbon dioxide extract is virtually clean of any chlorophyll or fatty material peaks which hinder isolation of these chemicals.

Mangosteen Extract(SFE)

The mangosteen peel contains a variety of bioactive compounds with potential applications as therapeutic ingredients or as functional food additives such as phenolic acids, tannins, xanthones , anthocyanins.Mangosteen extract contains rich xanthone, one kind of the polyphenols in the non-edible portion. In recent years, xanthones have been noted as a functionality such as anti-cancer effect and is expected as pharmaceuticals and health supplements. Supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) extraction was employed to extract α-mangostin from mangosteen peel at three different levels of pressure (200–300 bar), temperature (40– 60 °C) and solvent to material ratio (100–300 kg/kg).

Griffonia Seed Extract (5-HTP)

Image
The main chemical component of Ghanaian seed extract is 5-Hydroxytrophan (5-HTP), which is a natural amino acid, extracted from the dried seeds of the mesquite plant Griffonia Simplicifolia. Name 5-hydroxy-3-indolyl-α-aminopropionic acid. It is safer to use than synthetic 5-hydroxytryptophan. People with lower levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) are more prone to depression, impulsivity, and even aggressive behavior. 5-hydroxytryptophan can be converted to 5-HT by decarboxylation in the body, which can help the body to increase 5-HT levels. Is an important neurological drug. Modern research has found that 5-hydroxytryptophan has the physiological effects of antidepressant, central analgesia, hypnosis, anti-stress, and regulation of endocrine. The unsaturated fatty acid has an oil content of between 15% and 20%, and is mostly present in the form of triacylglycerol. They only help in thickening, thus utilizing less sugar while cooking. Pectin is produced and sold commercially as a white or light brown powder. The powder is often used as a gelling agent in foods such as jellies and jams. Further applications include medicine, sweets, dessert fillings and stabilizers in milk and fruit juices. Pectin occurs as a complex set of polysaccharides, which are present in primary plant cells. The cells are mainly abundant in non-woody parts of terrestrial plants. It is a major component found in the middle lamella, whose main function is to bind cells t...
